How a Medical Journey Works

Give us the hospital or clinic, the time you need to be there and the number of Guests. Booking for a parent or a patient? Enter their name and phone number: they receive the chauffeur's details and the booking stays with you. The fare is shown before you confirm.
Fifteen minutes before the time you booked, your chauffeur is at the door with the cabin already at your temperature. Doors opened, bags and coats loaded, and the drive timed around the traffic of the day, not the map's best case.
By the hour, the chauffeur waits through the appointment, as close as the entrance allows, and drives you home when you come out. As a round trip, the return is set for the time you expect to be done. One way, we bring you there, or home afterwards, whichever you need.
Appointments We Drive
Ottawa's hospitals sit in different corners of the city: the Civic on Carling Avenue, the General and CHEO on Smyth Road, the Riverside on Riverside Drive, the Queensway Carleton on Baseline Road in Nepean, the Montfort in the east end, and across the river the Hôpital de Gatineau and the Hôpital de Hull. Few are a short drive from home, and at every one of them the parking is an errand of its own. A chauffeur who knows which entrance you need makes the drive the simplest part of the day.
Specialist visits, scans, bloodwork, physiotherapy and follow-ups, at a hospital campus or a clinic on a side street. Tell us the building and the entrance when you book and the chauffeur drops you at the door, not at the far side of a parking lot.
Treatment that repeats on the same days each week asks for a car that does the same. Book each session ahead, as far out as you like, or call us with the schedule and we enter the dates for you: the same pickup time, the same door, a chauffeur who has your name.
When driving yourself home is not an option, a chauffeur who has your name is waiting at the entrance at the time you were told to expect, with the cabin warm and the drive home quiet. By the hour, if the discharge runs late, the car simply waits.

Crown & Coach is a chauffeur service. Our chauffeurs are licensed and insured drivers in a luxury sedan or SUV; they are not medical staff, and the vehicles carry no wheelchair lift or stretcher. For a Journey that needs an accessible vehicle or care along the way, an accessible-transport provider is the right call. For every other appointment, we are at the door.

No. Crown & Coach is a chauffeur service offering non-emergency transport in a luxury sedan or SUV, driven by licensed and insured chauffeurs who are not medical staff. The vehicles have no wheelchair lift or stretcher, and we do not provide attendants. In an emergency, call 911. If you are unsure whether we are the right service for a particular Journey, call us and we will tell you plainly.

When you book by the hour, yes: the chauffeur waits through the appointment, as close as the entrance allows, and drives you home when you come out. Two-hour minimum. A one-way or round-trip booking does not include waiting: the round trip sets a return time, and a one-way Journey home can be booked once you know it.
Book by the hour and choose a block that covers it. If the appointment runs long, ask the chauffeur to extend, and when the schedule allows the time is added to the same booking. Or book one way there and the Journey home when you know the time: 24 hours' notice guarantees a vehicle, and we confirm same-day bookings whenever a chauffeur is available.
At the entrance you name: the main entrance of the campus, a clinic's own door or the entrance nearest your department. Tell us when you book, or tell your chauffeur on the day, and you step out at the door rather than walk in from a parking lot.
Yes. Dialysis, treatment and therapy on a standing schedule can be booked session by session, as far ahead as you like, or call us with the dates and we enter them for you. The same pickup time and the same door, each time.
Elite is the Lexus LS460L, a long-wheelbase sedan for up to three Guests. Platinum is the Lincoln Navigator L, a full-size SUV seating six. A family member or a friend is welcome to ride along; choose the class by how many are travelling.
A 15% gratuity for the chauffeur is added to every Journey, calculated on the fare after any credits and before HST, and shown as its own line on your receipt. You are welcome to add more for exceptional service. Details: gratuity and tax.
Full refund more than 24 hours before pickup. 50% refund between 24 hours and 1 hour before pickup. Within 1 hour of pickup the reservation is forfeit, unless an extraordinary circumstance is approved by our team. Full policy: /policies.
